French course students in Paris tour the Beaubourg quarter |
March 2007 |

All France Langue students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of student activities with a French teacher.
Hans-Christian Rufer, Swiss, enrolled in the intensive French by the week courses
" I learned a lot about the Beaubourg quarter. For example, Place Châtelet, is named after the Grand Châtelet, a castle demolished by Napoleon in 1802 and that Châtelet is a medieval French term that means small castle. By participating in my French classes and the student activity program at France Langue, I've gained alot of self confidence in speaking French. I'm learning French because it's one of the official languages of Switzerland."
Heloisa G. Bedendo, Brazilian, intensive long-term French courses
" Visiting the Beaubourg quarter with Gabriel helped me to learn about its history and notice things that I wouldn't have remarked on my own, such as, the contrast in the architecture between the gothic church, Saint Merri and the architecture of the modern George Pompidou Center of Art and Culture. Since I've been taking French classes at France Langue in Paris, I'm not afraid to speak anymore. Everyone in my class participates."
Menos Medna, French, intern to become a French as a foreign language teacher
" I think it's a great idea to combine French courses with the student activity program. It really adds something to learning French. Students link what they're learning in class to what they're seeing on the walk."
Gabriel has been organizing walks in Paris with France Langue for over 20 years. See also
